If you weren’t able to catch last night’s episode of Saturday Night Live, Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson hosted with musical guest George Ezra.
You might be familiar with Ezra’s work as I’ve included a few of his tracks in New Music Tuesday (8/5) & (11/11), and his song Budapest has recently hit radio stations in the U.S, but last night he hit it out of the park with his biggest U.S. performance yet. Ezra sang two of his tracks, Budapest and Blame It on Me, off his recently released album Wanted On Voyage. Only 21 years old, this British folk star has a long and promising career ahead. He doesn’t sound like any other 21 year-old I’ve listened to; he’s got that old-soul young-body kind of thing. I want to say like Adele when she released her album 21 in 2011. There’s something about him swaying back and forward with his guitar too that’s just so sexy. He’s adorable.
Before touring more in the UK and the rest of Europe this summer, Ezra is playing a few major U.S. cities along with some big summer festivals like Coachella and Lollapalooza.
