The second track off the highly anticipated Mumford & Sons album, Wilder Mind (set to be released May 4th), was gifted to the public this afternoon.
Titled, The Wolf, this song seems to run parallel with the first single in that there is a struggling relationship, however this time, it’s being tempted by an outside party, “The Wolf”. The band did a live Q&A on Facebook Thursday night (London time) and then later the track premiered on BBC Radio 1. Fans immediately took to Twitter to discuss their attitudes about The Wolf with overall positive reactions.
The group has abandoned their banjos but this new rock/electronic feel from these last two singles is better than I could have imagined from good ole’ Mumford. I wholeheartedly approve. Check out the new song here at let me know what you think in the comments!
You can purchase The Wolf and pre-order Wilder Mind here.
