According to ATO Record’s Facebook page, Alabama Shakes’ new album Sound & Color is at #1 on the Billboard debut chart. If you haven’t payed attention to my obsessive tweeting about this album, you should…
It’s definitely special and one-of-a-kind. This unique band doesn’t compare to others and with vocals by Brittany Howard, you will be blown back into your seat with an awe struck amazement.
The video follows a male character waking up in what appears to be a space pod of some sort. The man walks around and gets acquainted with his new space station while having flashbacks of life with his family on earth. While reading control papers in the steering pit, he discovers his journey is 500 years long. At least that’s what I understood from the video haha. It’s up for interpretation…
Check out their new video which was conceptualized by Brittany Howard and directed by James Frost.
Sound & Color- Alabama Shakes
Next up, Joy Williams’ music video for Woman (Oh Mama) dropped today. In a stunning sequence of Joy in long gowns, nude (oh mama!), and in a special effects light suit, we see Joy with all her powerful characteristics as a woman and as a performer.
Joy released this sneak peak photo yesterday on her Twitter. I was confused how this particular outfit would relate to her new music, but I get it now and I think it turned out great. I love the light effect silhouette of her body dancing along with this hypnotizing, almost tribal-like, beat..
This is just the first of many new songs we hope to hear from Joy in the future. Such a beautiful woman and performer. We can’t wait for more!
