Frances, James Bay, Nick Jonas and More Cover Hits In Radio 1’s Live Lounge

One of my favorite sources for bands/artists covering others is BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge. All the coolest artists stop by like Ben Howard, Hozier, George Ezra, etc., and along with playing a bit a of their own tunes, they have the chance to cover another popular song that they themselves are fans of… sometimes putting their own twist on things.

Some of the song choices may surprise you, but that’s one of the coolest bits about this. I think a lot of times people forget artists are fans too and are inspired by others in their field. The Live Lounge platform is great for giving bands the opportunity to share their admiration. Sometimes I even like the covers more than the originals…

Check out some of my recent Live Lounge favorites below.

What Do You Mean?- Frances (Justin Bieber cover)

Black Skinhead- Catfish & The Bottlemen (Kanye West cover)

Shake It Out- James Bay (Florence & The Machine cover)

Believe- Nothing But Thieves (Mumford & Sons cover)

King- Nick Jonas (Years & Years cover)

Have a really cool cover you want to share? Let me know in the comments below!
